About MXSON CV 625MG TABLET 10'S

Amoxicillin is a penicillin antibiotic. Clavulanic acid blocks some bacterial enzymes that can inactivate amoxicillin. The combination treats selected bacterial infections when a clinician considers the organisms and infection site appropriate. It does not treat viral illnesses such as common colds or flu. Antibiotics work only against susceptible bacteria. A clinician may consider examination findings, local resistance patterns or laboratory tests when selecting treatment. Taking an antibiotic for an unrelated symptom can cause harm without treating the cause. Patients should not share this prescription or keep unused tablets for later infections. The brand name and strength identify the product, but they do not determine whether it is suitable for a particular infection. Different bacteria can cause similar symptoms, and some bacteria are resistant to one or both ingredients. Amoxicillin interferes with bacterial cell-wall formation, which can kill susceptible bacteria. Clavulanic acid inhibits certain beta-lactamase enzymes that would otherwise break down amoxicillin. The combination's effect depends on the organism's susceptibility, the infection site and adequate exposure to the medicines.

Diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort and rash can occur. Allergic reactions can be severe in people with penicillin allergy. Rarely, liver inflammation or jaundice can develop. Severe watery or bloody diarrhoea, facial swelling, breathing difficulty, widespread rash or yellowing of the skin needs urgent medical assessment.
