Common side effects of PAN D Capsule may include nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea, flatulence (gas), constipation, headache, dizziness, and dry mouth. Less common side effects may include anxiety, sleep disturbances (insomnia), skin rash, itching, weakness, and blurred vision. In rare cases, serious side effects such as allergic reactions (hives, swelling, difficulty breathing), liver problems (yellowing of skin/eyes, dark urine), kidney problems, and changes in blood cell counts may occur. Long-term use may increase the risk of osteoporosis-related fractures.

Heart and Electrolytes
Use with special cautionDomperidone has been associated with an increased risk of serious heart rhythm disturbances, including QT interval prolongation and ventricular arrhythmias.
PAN D CAPSULE 15'S is used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and peptic ulcers. It reduces the amount of acid in the stomach and provides relief from acid-related discomfort.
PAN D CAPSULE 15'S is a combination of two medicines, Pantoprazole and Domperidone. Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces the production of acid in the stomach. Domperidone is a prokinetic that increases the motility of the stomach and intestines, allowing food to move more easily.
Common side effects of PAN D CAPSULE 15'S include nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, diarrhea, and constipation.
PAN D CAPSULE 15'S is usually taken before food. Follow your doctor's instructions.
There is limited information available regarding the safety of PAN D CAPSULE 15'S during pregnancy. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
It is not known whether PAN D CAPSULE 15'S is excreted in breast milk. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.
Store PAN D CAPSULE 15'S at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children.
Yes, some people may experience dizziness after taking PAN D CAPSULE 15'S. Avoid driving or operating machinery if you feel dizzy.
PAN D CAPSULE 15'S can interact with other medications. Tell your doctor about all the medicines you are taking, including over-the-counter medicines and herbal supplements.
If you miss a dose of PAN D CAPSULE 15'S, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the dose.
PAN D CAPSULE 15'S is generally not recommended for long-term use. Consult your doctor if you need to take it for an extended period.
It is not recommended to drink alcohol while taking PAN D CAPSULE 15'S, as it can increase the risk of side effects.
Alternatives to PAN D CAPSULE 15'S include other proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) and prokinetics. Talk to your doctor about the best option for you.
PAN D CAPSULE 15'S does not directly relieve stomach gas, but it may help reduce some gas-related symptoms by reducing acid production and improving digestion.
There is no difference between PAN D and PAN D CAPSULE 15'S. These are two different names for the same medication.
The most common side effects of Pan D tablet include headache, dizziness, abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation, flatulence, nausea, vomiting, dry mouth, and mild skin rash or itching. Some people may also notice breast tenderness or changes in menstrual periods due to the domperidone component. These effects are usually mild and tend to improve as your body adjusts to the medicine or after it is stopped. If any of these symptoms are severe, persistent, or bothersome, consult your doctor for assessment and possible adjustment of therapy.
Yes, although serious side effects are less common, they can occur and require urgent medical attention. Serious reactions include severe allergic reactions (such as swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, difficulty breathing, or widespread rash), severe or persistent abdominal pain, black or tarry stools, blood in stools, or vomiting blood. Domperidone has been associated with serious heart rhythm disturbances, including QT prolongation and ventricular arrhythmias, especially in people with existing heart disease or electrolyte imbalances. Symptoms such as palpitations, fainting, or sudden dizziness should be treated as emergencies. If you experience any of these, stop the medicine and seek immediate medical care.
Pan D contains domperidone, which has been linked to a small but clinically important risk of serious heart rhythm problems, including QT interval prolongation and ventricular arrhythmias. This risk is higher in older adults, people with pre-existing heart disease, those with low potassium or magnesium levels, and patients taking other medicines that affect heart rhythm or domperidone metabolism. Some individuals may experience palpitations, irregular heartbeat, fainting, or sudden dizziness. If you have a history of heart disease, arrhythmias, or are on cardiac medications, inform your doctor before using Pan D. Seek immediate medical attention if you develop palpitations, chest pain, or episodes of fainting while on this medicine.
Yes. Domperidone can increase prolactin levels, a hormone involved in milk production. As a result, some patients may experience breast tenderness, breast enlargement, nipple discharge, or changes in menstrual cycles. In rare cases, men may develop breast enlargement (gynecomastia). These effects are usually reversible after the medicine is discontinued. If you notice persistent breast changes, unexpected milk secretion, or menstrual irregularities, discuss them with your doctor, who may evaluate your hormone levels and consider alternative treatment.
Long-term or repeated use of the pantoprazole component may be associated with certain risks, particularly when used at high doses or for extended periods without medical review. These include an increased likelihood of vitamin B12 deficiency, low magnesium levels, and, in some studies, a higher risk of bone fractures, especially of the hip, wrist, or spine in older adults. There may also be an increased susceptibility to certain infections, such as Clostridioides difficile–associated diarrhea and some respiratory infections, due to reduced stomach acid. Regular follow-up with your doctor is important if you require prolonged therapy, and they may monitor your blood tests, bone health, and overall response to treatment.
Pantoprazole and domperidone are generally well tolerated by the liver and kidneys when used appropriately, but rare cases of liver-related side effects have been reported with proton pump inhibitors, including pantoprazole. These may present as jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes), dark urine, pale stools, severe fatigue, or persistent nausea. Domperidone is primarily eliminated through the kidneys and liver, so impaired function of these organs can increase drug levels and the risk of side effects, including cardiac effects. Patients with known liver or kidney disease should use Pan D only under close medical supervision, and dose adjustments or alternative treatments may be required. If you notice signs of liver or kidney dysfunction, contact your doctor promptly.
The safety of Pan D tablet in pregnancy is not fully established, and its use should be based on a careful assessment of potential benefits and risks by a qualified healthcare professional. Pantoprazole is sometimes used in pregnancy when clearly needed, but domperidone is generally used with caution due to limited safety data and potential cardiac risks. Pan D should not be taken during pregnancy without explicit medical advice. If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or suspect you may be pregnant, inform your doctor before starting or continuing Pan D. Your doctor may choose an alternative treatment with a better-established safety profile in pregnancy.
Both pantoprazole and domperidone can pass into breast milk in small amounts. Domperidone is sometimes used off-label to enhance milk production because of its effect on prolactin, but this practice is controversial due to potential cardiac risks for the mother and limited safety data for the infant. Routine use of Pan D while breastfeeding is not recommended without medical supervision. If you are breastfeeding, your doctor will weigh the potential benefits for you against possible risks to your baby and may suggest alternative therapies. If Pan D is used, the lowest effective dose for the shortest possible duration should be considered, with close monitoring for any unusual symptoms in you or your infant.
Pan D is not primarily a sedative medicine, but some people may experience dizziness, headache, or visual disturbances while taking it. These effects can impair your ability to concentrate or react quickly. Until you know how Pan D affects you, avoid driving, operating machinery, or performing tasks that require full alertness. If you experience persistent dizziness, confusion, or visual changes, contact your doctor. Combining Pan D with alcohol or other medicines that affect the central nervous system may further impair alertness and should be avoided or done only under medical guidance.
If you develop signs of an allergic reaction such as rash, itching, hives, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, difficulty breathing, or severe dizziness, stop taking Pan D immediately and seek emergency medical care. For other severe side effects, such as chest pain, palpitations, fainting, severe abdominal pain, persistent vomiting, black or bloody stools, or yellowing of the skin or eyes, contact your doctor or go to the nearest emergency facility without delay. Do not restart Pan D or any similar medicine without medical advice if you have experienced a serious reaction. Always inform healthcare providers about any previous adverse reactions to pantoprazole, domperidone, or other related medicines.
