About PEMETERO 100 INJECTION
- PEMETERO 100 INJECTION contains the active ingredient Pemetrexed, an antifolate agent used to treat non-small cell lung cancer and malignant pleural mesothelioma (cancers of the lungs and chest lining). It may be administered alone or in combination with other anticancer medications like cisplatin. To minimize potential side effects, your healthcare provider may also prescribe corticosteroids, folic acid, and vitamin B12 supplements during your treatment.
- Before each infusion of PEMETERO 100 INJECTION, blood tests are necessary to assess your kidney and liver function, as well as to ensure you have a sufficient number of blood cells. It is crucial to inform your doctor about any pre-existing or past medical conditions, particularly kidney problems, heart disorders, or fluid accumulation in the lungs. Also, notify your doctor if you have recently received or are currently undergoing radiotherapy or vaccinations.
- If you are planning to become pregnant or suspect you might be pregnant, inform your doctor immediately. Both men and women should use effective contraception during treatment and for a period after the last dose.
