About POMIDE 4MG CAPSULE 21'S

  • POMIDE 4MG CAPSULE 21'S is a type of chemotherapy medicine used to treat multiple myeloma in adults. Multiple myeloma is a cancer that affects certain white blood cells called plasma cells. Normally, plasma cells help your body fight infections. In multiple myeloma, these plasma cells grow abnormally and build up in the bone marrow. This buildup can damage bones and kidneys and affect the production of healthy blood cells.
  • This medicine contains Pomalidomide and belongs to a group of drugs called immunomodulatory agents. This means it works by changing how your body's immune system functions. It helps to slow down the growth of the abnormal plasma cells and supports the immune system in targeting the cancer cells. It is an important part of managing multiple myeloma.
  • Like many medicines, POMIDE 4MG CAPSULE 21'S can cause side effects. Common ones include feeling very tired or weak, shortness of breath, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, pain in the back or bones, dizziness, shaking (tremor), upper respiratory infections, trouble sleeping, loss of appetite, muscle aches or spasms, numbness, tingling, or burning feelings, low levels of potassium in the blood, and anemia (low red blood cells). If any of these side effects are severe or don't go away, please tell your doctor.
  • Before taking POMIDE 4MG CAPSULE 21'S, it's very important to inform your doctor about your medical history. Tell them if you have any allergies to this medicine or its ingredients.
