Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them.

Allergies
Contraindicated in known hypersensitivityDo not take Roseday 5 mg if you are allergic to rosuvastatin or any of the tablet’s ingredients.
You may need to take ROSEDAY 5MG TABLET 15'S for life or for as long as directed by your doctor. The cholesterol levels will be maintained only till you are taking ROSEDAY 5MG TABLET 15'S. Stopping ROSEDAY 5MG TABLET 15'S without starting a different treatment may increase your cholesterol levels again. This medicine has only a few side effects and is usually considered safe if taken as directed by the doctor.
No, there is no evidence of ROSEDAY 5MG TABLET 15'S causing weight gain. If you are taking ROSEDAY 5MG TABLET 15'S and gaining weight, consult your doctor. The doctor may get some investigations done to know the reason for the weight gain.
Yes, ROSEDAY 5MG TABLET 15'S can make you feel tired. This is because it reduces the energy supply to the muscles in the body. However, the exact reason behind the phenomenon is unknown and needs more research. Tiredness usually occurs after exertion. Generalized fatigue is more often in people with heart disease or those suffering from liver illness. ROSEDAY 5MG TABLET 15'S also causes muscle damage which further worsens the tiredness. Therefore, you must consult your doctor if you feel tired while taking ROSEDAY 5MG TABLET 15'S.
ROSEDAY 5MG TABLET 15'S should be taken once a day. It can be taken in the morning or at night or any time of the day, with or without food. Try taking this medicine at the same time every day. Doing this will help you remember to take it daily.
ROSEDAY 5MG TABLET 15'S is used to decrease your blood cholesterol levels. Therefore, to seek the best results of this medicine, you should avoid foods that are high in calories like fried food and junk food. It is recommended to eat a low-fat and low-cholesterol diet. Be sure to follow all the exercise and dietary recommendations made by your doctor or dietician.
All medicines have side effects, but the benefits of ROSEDAY 5MG TABLET 15'S in reducing cholesterol levels and the risk of heart attack and stroke are proven by a large number of studies. However, if you do have any concerns, then discuss it with your doctor. Your doctor will consider and explain to you the benefits of taking ROSEDAY 5MG TABLET 15'S versus the risks of not taking it at all.
ROSEDAY 5MG TABLET 15'S may cause memory loss in very rare cases. This is generally non-serious and may occur within 1 day of taking this medicine or may take years to appear. These symptoms may disappear within about 3 weeks of discontinuing ROSEDAY 5MG TABLET 15'S. However, you should consult your doctor if you experience this side effect as it could be due to some other reason.
Yes, taking ROSEDAY 5MG TABLET 15'S can cause muscle problems or muscle injury. This is because of the reduced oxygen supply to the muscle cells which leads to fatigue, muscle pain, tenderness or muscle weakness. The soreness may be significant enough to interfere with your daily activities. Do not take it lightly and consult your doctor to know about ways to prevent this and to avoid making it worse.
If you are at high risk of developing type 2 diabetes, taking ROSEDAY 5MG TABLET 15'S may slightly increase this risk. This is because ROSEDAY 5MG TABLET 15'S has the potential to cause a slight increase in your blood sugar levels. If you already have type 2 diabetes, your doctor may advise you to keep monitoring your blood sugar levels closely for the first few months. Tell your doctor if you find it harder to control your blood sugar.
Roseday 5 mg contains rosuvastatin, a statin medicine used to lower high cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood. It helps reduce LDL (bad) cholesterol and may slightly increase HDL (good) cholesterol. By improving your lipid profile, it lowers the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other complications related to blocked or narrowed blood vessels. It is usually prescribed along with diet control, exercise, and lifestyle changes.
Roseday 5 mg is usually taken once daily, with or without food, at the same time each day. Swallow the tablet whole with water. The exact dose and duration are determined only by your doctor based on your cholesterol levels, cardiovascular risk, kidney and liver function, and other medicines you use. Do not change the dose, skip doses frequently, or stop the medicine without consulting your doctor, even if you feel well.
Roseday 5 mg acts mainly in the liver to reduce cholesterol production, and in rare cases it can affect liver function. It is generally avoided in people with active liver disease or unexplained persistent elevations in liver enzymes. Your doctor may order blood tests before starting treatment and periodically thereafter to monitor liver function. Seek medical advice if you develop symptoms such as persistent nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, unusual tiredness, dark urine, or yellowing of the skin or eyes.
Use of Roseday 5 mg in people with kidney impairment requires caution. In mild to moderate kidney problems, your doctor may decide whether it is appropriate and may choose a lower starting dose or adjust the dose carefully. In severe kidney disease, rosuvastatin may not be suitable or may require very close monitoring due to an increased risk of muscle‑related side effects. Never start or continue this medicine with kidney disease without your doctor’s supervision.
Roseday 5 mg is not recommended during pregnancy. Cholesterol‑lowering statins like rosuvastatin can potentially harm the developing baby because cholesterol is important for fetal development. If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or think you might be pregnant, you should not take Roseday 5 mg. Women of childbearing potential should use effective contraception while on this medicine and inform their doctor immediately if pregnancy occurs.
Roseday 5 mg is generally not advised during breastfeeding. It is not clearly known how much rosuvastatin passes into breast milk, but there is a potential risk to the nursing infant, particularly regarding lipid metabolism. Your doctor will usually recommend stopping breastfeeding or choosing an alternative cholesterol‑lowering strategy if treatment with rosuvastatin is considered essential. Do not use this medicine while breastfeeding without medical advice.
Alcohol intake should be limited while taking Roseday 5 mg because both alcohol and rosuvastatin can affect the liver. Regular or heavy alcohol consumption may increase the risk of liver problems and muscle‑related side effects. If you drink alcohol, discuss your drinking pattern honestly with your doctor so they can advise you on a safe limit or whether you should avoid alcohol altogether during treatment.
Roseday 5 mg does not usually impair the ability to drive or operate machinery. However, some people may experience side effects such as dizziness, headache, or fatigue. If you feel dizzy, unusually tired, or unwell after taking the medicine, avoid driving, using heavy machinery, or performing tasks that require full alertness until you feel normal again. If these symptoms persist, consult your doctor.
If you have a known allergy to rosuvastatin, any other statin, or any ingredient in Roseday 5 mg, you should not take this medicine. Signs of an allergic reaction can include rash, itching, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, severe dizziness, or difficulty breathing. If you previously had a serious reaction or severe muscle problems with another statin, inform your doctor before starting Roseday 5 mg. Your doctor will assess the risks and may choose a different treatment.
Common side effects of Roseday 5 mg can include headache, dizziness, constipation, abdominal pain, nausea, muscle pain, and weakness. These are usually mild and temporary. However, severe or persistent muscle pain, tenderness, cramps, or weakness, especially if accompanied by fever or dark‑colored urine, should be reported immediately, as they may indicate a serious muscle problem. Always inform your doctor about any unusual or bothersome symptoms.
You should not stop Roseday 5 mg on your own, even if your cholesterol levels improve. High cholesterol is a long‑term condition, and stopping treatment abruptly can cause your cholesterol to rise again, increasing your risk of heart disease and stroke. Your doctor will decide whether to continue, adjust, or stop the medicine based on your ongoing risk profile, test results, and tolerance to the drug.
Certain medicines can interact with Roseday 5 mg and increase the risk of side effects or alter its effectiveness. These may include some other cholesterol‑lowering drugs (such as fibrates), certain antiviral medicines, some antibiotics, anticoagulants like warfarin, and drugs that affect liver enzymes or kidney function. Always provide your doctor with a complete list of prescription medicines, over‑the‑counter products, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are taking before starting Roseday 5 mg.
