This includes a very serious form called glioblastoma multiforme in adults. It is also prescribed for malignant glioma, which covers glioblastoma multiforme and another type called anaplastic astrocytoma, in patients who are three years of age and older. Glioblastoma and anaplastic astrocytoma are known for being aggressive brain cancers where treatment is crucial.
For anaplastic astrocytoma, TEMODAL 100MG CAPSULE 5'S might be given after a biopsy, sometimes along with or followed by radiotherapy. In the case of glioblastoma multiforme, the treatment typically starts with TEMODAL 100MG CAPSULE 5'S given together with radiotherapy. After this initial phase, TEMODAL 100MG CAPSULE 5'S is continued on its own for a period as a maintenance treatment to help manage the cancer long-term.
