How VIAGRA 100MG TABLET 4'S Works

• Sexual stimulation causes the body to release nitric oxide in the penis, which activates an enzyme that raises the level of a substance called cGMP. Higher cGMP relaxes the smooth muscle in the penile blood vessels, letting more blood flow in.
• Sildenafil blocks phosphodiesterase type 5, the enzyme that normally breaks cGMP down. Blocking this enzyme keeps cGMP levels higher for longer, which supports the erection response to sexual stimulation. The effect only occurs with stimulation and does not happen on its own.

Most side effects are mild and settle on their own. Flushing, a sensation of warmth in the face, happens because sildenafil widens blood vessels throughout the body, including outside the penis. Visual changes, such as a blue tinge to vision or increased sensitivity to light, have also been reported. An erection lasting more than four hours, known as priapism, is a medical emergency and needs immediate treatment to avoid lasting damage. Sudden loss or a marked change in vision in one or both eyes, or a sudden decrease or loss of hearing, should be reported to a doctor immediately, and no further dose should be taken.

• Store the tablets in their original pack, out of the reach of children and pets. Keep them at room temperature as stated on the current Mylan pack. Do not use the tablets after the expiry date printed on the pack.

• Take the tablet around an hour before anticipated sexual activity, as directed by the prescriber
• Do not take this medicine more than once in twenty-four hours
• Never combine this medicine with nitrates, guanylate cyclase stimulators, or recreational nitrite products
• Tell the prescriber about any heart condition, recent stroke, low blood pressure, or liver or kidney disease before starting
• Seek immediate medical attention for an erection lasting more than four hours
• Seek prompt medical attention for a sudden change in vision or hearing
• Limit alcohol while using this medicine, since alcohol can add to some side effects and can itself affect the ability to get an erection

• A heavy, high-fat meal can delay how quickly the tablet starts to work, so taking it on a lighter stomach gives a more predictable onset.
• Grapefruit juice can raise sildenafil levels in the blood and is best avoided around the time of taking this medicine.
