  • XELODA 500MG TABLET 10'S contains the active medicine Capecitabine. It belongs to a group of medicines called antimetabolites, which are a type of chemotherapy. This medicine works by slowing down or stopping the growth of cancer cells. XELODA 500MG TABLET 10'S is used along with other anti-cancer medicines to treat cancers that have spread (metastatic) in the colon, rectum, or breast. Cancer is a serious disease where cells grow and divide uncontrollably, forming tumors. This medicine can also be used after surgery to remove a colon tumor to help prevent the cancer from coming back.
  • Like all medicines, XELODA 500MG TABLET 10'S can cause side effects. The most common ones include feeling sick (nausea), vomiting, diarrhea, sore mouth, hand-foot syndrome (redness, swelling, blistering on hands/feet), tiredness, weakness, loss of appetite, headache, runny nose, fever, hair loss, and dry mouth. If you experience severe side effects, especially diarrhea, vomiting, or mouth sores, contact your doctor immediately. It's important to stay hydrated during treatment.
