- XELODA 500MG TABLET 10'S contains the active medicine Capecitabine. It belongs to a group of medicines called antimetabolites, which are a type of chemotherapy. This medicine works by slowing down or stopping the growth of cancer cells. XELODA 500MG TABLET 10'S is used along with other anti-cancer medicines to treat cancers that have spread (metastatic) in the colon, rectum, or breast. This medicine can also be used after surgery to remove a colon tumor to help prevent the cancer from coming back.
