Chronic Myeloid Leukemia is a type of blood cancer characterized by the overproduction of white blood cells due to alterations in the Philadelphia chromosome. Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia is a common blood cancer, especially in children, where lymphocytes (a type of white blood cell) multiply rapidly and have an extended lifespan.
