DASTILA 50 TABLET 12'S contains the active ingredient Dasatinib, a medication primarily prescribed for adults and children over one year of age diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML). It is also utilized in treating newly diagnosed Philadelphia chromosome-positive (Ph+) chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) in the chronic phase, as well as Ph+ acute lymphoblastic leukemia in patients who have shown resistance to other treatment approaches.
Chronic Myeloid Leukemia is a type of blood cancer characterized by the excessive production of white blood cells, resulting from alterations in the Philadelphia chromosome. Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, on the other hand, is the most frequently observed form of blood cancer affecting children. In this condition, the lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell, multiply at an accelerated rate and have a prolonged lifespan.
Common side effects associated with DASTILA 50 TABLET 12'S may include diarrhea, headache, cough, skin rash, nausea, fatigue, vomiting, muscle pain, weakness, decreased appetite, and fluctuations in blood pressure (either high or low).
