Less common but potentially serious side effects can involve tardive dyskinesia (uncontrolled muscle movements), neuroleptic malignant syndrome (a severe reaction with fever, muscle rigidity, and altered mental state), seizures, blood disorders (such as leukopenia or agranulocytosis), jaundice, and allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling). Other reported side effects include changes in appetite or weight, sexual dysfunction, menstrual irregularities, and galactorrhea (breast milk production in women not breastfeeding). This is not an exhaustive list, and patients should promptly report any new or worsening symptoms to their doctor.
