If left untreated, severe hypoglycemia can lead to loss of consciousness and even be life-threatening. * Gastrointestinal disturbances: Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation. **Uncommon Side Effects (may affect up to 1 in 100 people):** * Visual disturbances: Especially at the start of treatment, due to changes in blood sugar levels. * Skin reactions: Rash, itching, hives. **Rare Side Effects (may affect up to 1 in 1,000 people):** * Blood disorders: Decrease in the number of blood cells (e.g., thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, agranulocytosis), which can cause bleeding, bruising, fever, sore throat. * Liver problems: Elevated liver enzymes, hepatitis (inflammation of the liver). **Very Rare Side Effects (may affect up to 1 in 10,000 people):** * Allergic reactions: Severe skin reactions such as Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis. * Changes in blood counts: Anemia. * Liver failure. **Other Possible Side Effects:** * Weight gain * Abnormal liver function tests **It is important to contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following:** * Signs of hypoglycemia * Skin rash or allergic reaction * Yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice) * Unexplained bleeding or bruising * Persistent nausea, vomiting, or abdominal pain

Glizid M XR 60mg Tablet 10's is a combination of two medicines used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet and exercise alone are not effective in controlling blood sugar levels.
Glizid M XR 60mg Tablet 10's is a combination of two drugs, Gliclazide and Metformin. Gliclazide belongs to the class of drugs called sulfonylureas. It works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas in order to lower blood sugar. Metformin belongs to the class of drugs called biguanides. It works by reducing the amount of glucose produced by the liver, decreasing the absorption of glucose from the intestines, and increasing the body's sensitivity to insulin.
Common side effects of Glizid M XR 60mg Tablet 10's include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, and loss of appetite.
Glizid M XR 60mg Tablet 10's should be used with caution in patients with kidney problems, as it can increase the risk of lactic acidosis. Talk to your doctor if you have any kidney problems.
