Headache, drowsiness, fatigue, dry mouth and abdominal pain are the most commonly reported effects. A sore throat, cough and upper respiratory tract symptoms have also been reported. Restlessness, agitation, sleep disturbance, mood changes or thoughts of self-harm need prompt medical attention, since montelukast has been associated with these neuropsychiatric effects in some people. A severe allergic reaction also needs immediate medical attention.

Driving
May cause drowsinessLevocetirizine in Montas L Tablet can cause drowsiness, fatigue, dizziness, or reduced alertness in some individuals, even though it is a second-generation antihistamine.
Alcohol
Avoid or limit intakeAlcohol can potentiate the sedative effects of levocetirizine, increasing the risk of drowsiness, dizziness, and impaired judgment.
Allergies
Contraindicated in hypersensitivityMontas L Tablet must not be used in individuals with known hypersensitivity to montelukast, levocetirizine, cetirizine, hydroxyzine, or any of the excipients in the formulation.
Other medical conditions
Inform your doctorPatients with a history of seizures, urinary retention, angle-closure glaucoma, or significant cardiovascular disease should inform their doctor before using Montas L Tablet, as antihistamines can sometimes worsen these conditions.
Montas L is used for allergic rhinitis and chronic urticaria, and as preventive treatment for asthma, including exercise-induced bronchoconstriction.
