  • POMALONG 1 CAPSULE 21'S is a chemotherapy medicine containing the active constituent Pomalidomide. It belongs to the group of medications known as Immuno modulatory agents. It is used to treat multiple myeloma in adults. Multiple myeloma is a type of cancer mainly affecting certain white blood cells called the plasma cell. These cells grow uncontrolled and accumulate in the bone marrow, damaging the bones and kidneys.
  • This medication works by boosting the immune system to fight the cancerous plasma cells. It also directly targets these cells, preventing their growth and spread. By inhibiting the formation of new blood vessels that feed the tumor, POMALONG 1 CAPSULE 21'S helps to slow down the progression of multiple myeloma. It's often used when other treatments have not been effective, offering a crucial option for patients with relapsed or refractory disease.
  • The common side effects that are likely to associate with POMALONG 1 CAPSULE 21'S are shortness of breath, tiredness, weakness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, back and bone pain, dizziness, tremor, upper respiratory tract infection, sleeping trouble, loss of appetite, lack of energy, muscle spasms, muscle weakness, numbness, tingling or burning sensation, the low potassium level in the blood and anemia.
