About POMCAD 1 CAPSULE 21'S

  • POMCAD 1 CAPSULE 21'S is a chemotherapy medicine containing the active ingredient Pomalidomide. It belongs to the class of medications known as immunomodulatory agents. This medicine is primarily used in the treatment of multiple myeloma in adult patients. Multiple myeloma is a cancer that affects plasma cells, a type of white blood cell. In this condition, these cells grow uncontrollably and accumulate in the bone marrow, which can lead to damage to the bones and kidneys.
  • POMCAD 1 CAPSULE 21'S works by modulating the immune system and directly targeting the myeloma cells. It helps to slow down the progression of the disease and reduce the number of abnormal plasma cells in the bone marrow. This can alleviate symptoms and improve the overall quality of life for patients with multiple myeloma. This medicine is usually prescribed when other treatments have not been effective.
  • Common side effects associated with POMCAD 1 CAPSULE 21'S may include shortness of breath, fatigue, weakness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, back and bone pain, dizziness, tremors, upper respiratory tract infections, trouble sleeping, loss of appetite, lack of energy, muscle spasms, muscle weakness, numbness, tingling or burning sensations, low potassium levels in the blood, and anemia.
