ELTROPAG 50MG TABLET 7'S is an anticoagulant medication that belongs to the thrombopoietin (TPO) receptor agonist class. Its active ingredient, Eltrombopag, is used to manage low platelet counts resulting from primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) or hepatitis C (HCV) infection. ITP is an autoimmune condition where the immune system mistakenly destroys platelets, which are essential blood cells for clotting and maintaining blood vessel integrity. Reduced platelet levels can lead to excessive bleeding and easy bruising.
