About REVUGAM 50MG TABLET 7'S

  • REVUGAM 50MG TABLET 7'S is a medicine used to increase the number of blood cells called platelets. Platelets are important because they help your blood clot and stop bleeding. This medicine is used when you have low platelet counts because of certain conditions. These include a problem with your immune system (called primary immune thrombocytopenia or ITP) where your body destroys its own platelets, or due to hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. Having too few platelets can lead to easy bruising and serious bleeding. REVUGAM 50MG TABLET 7'S is also given to adults who have severe aplastic anaemia, which is a serious condition where the bone marrow doesn't make enough blood cells.
  • You should not take REVUGAM 50MG TABLET 7'S if you are allergic to it or any of its ingredients. Signs of a serious allergy can include rash, itching, swelling, feeling dizzy, or having trouble breathing. This medicine is also not suitable if you have severe liver problems or active liver disease, as it can affect the liver. Your doctor will check your liver function regularly while you are taking this medicine. It's also important for your doctor to check your eyes for cataracts (clouding of the lens) or bleeding in the back of your eye. Make sure you have regular eye check-ups as advised by your doctor.
  • If you stop taking REVUGAM 50MG TABLET 7'S, your platelet count will likely drop back down within a few days. Your doctor will monitor your platelet levels closely when you stop treatment and advise you on what to do. Having a very high platelet count can increase the chance of blood clots. However, blood clots can happen even with normal or low platelet counts. Your doctor will carefully adjust your dose to help keep your platelet count at a safe level – not too low and not too high.
  • Remember not to take REVUGAM 50MG TABLET 7'S with dairy foods or drinks like milk or cheese. The calcium in these products can stop the medicine from working properly. It's best to take the tablet at least two hours before or four hours after eating or drinking dairy. You should also use reliable birth control while taking this medicine, and tell your doctor right away if you become pregnant.
  • REVUGAM 50MG TABLET 7'S is generally not used in children under one year old for ITP. For low platelets caused by hepatitis C or severe aplastic anaemia, it's not recommended for patients under 18 years old. Always tell your doctor about all other medicines you are taking, including those you buy without a prescription, vitamins, and herbal supplements. This is because other medicines might interact with REVUGAM 50MG TABLET 7'S.
  • You will need regular blood tests while taking this medicine to check your platelet count and other blood cells, as well as your liver function. Take REVUGAM 50MG TABLET 7'S exactly as your doctor tells you, usually once a day with water. Try to take it at the same time each day. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it's almost time for your next dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one. Store the tablets below 30°C and keep them out of the reach of children. If you experience any unusual side effects like feeling sick, headaches, or feeling very tired, talk to your doctor.

Dosage of REVUGAM 50MG TABLET 7'SArrow

  • REVUGAM 50MG TABLET 7'S is an oral medication, meaning it is taken by mouth. It is a prescription-only drug, so it's vital to use it exactly as directed by your healthcare provider. Your doctor is the best person to determine the correct dosage and the length of your treatment course. This decision will be carefully made based on your specific medical condition, its severity, your overall health, and how you respond to the medication. Always follow your doctor's instructions precisely when taking REVUGAM 50MG TABLET 7'S. You have the flexibility to take this tablet with or without food, depending on what is most convenient for you or as advised by your doctor. However, it is crucial *not* to chew, crush, or break the tablet. This is because altering the tablet can affect how the drug is absorbed into your body or could cause side effects. Instead, swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it's almost time for your next scheduled dose. Do not double up on doses. If you take more than prescribed, seek immediate medical attention. Never stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor, even if you start feeling better.

How to store REVUGAM 50MG TABLET 7'S?Arrow

  • Keep REVUGAM 50MG TAB 1X7 away from the reach of children and pets.
  • Store REVUGAM 50MG TAB 1X7 at room temperature.

Benefits of REVUGAM 50MG TABLET 7'SArrow

  • REVUGAM 50MG TABLET 7'S works by encouraging your body's bone marrow to make more platelets. Platelets are tiny blood cells that play a crucial role in stopping bleeding and preventing bruising. They are like natural repair workers, quickly patching up damaged blood vessels when you get a cut or injury.
  • When platelet counts are low, even minor bumps or cuts can lead to significant bruising or prolonged bleeding that is difficult to control. This medicine specifically targets the large cells in the bone marrow responsible for platelet production, known as megakaryocytes. By stimulating these 'platelet factories', REVUGAM 50MG TABLET 7'S effectively boosts your platelet count back to a healthier, more functional level.
  • A higher number of platelets provides improved protection against unexpected bleeding episodes and greatly reduces the chance of excessive bruising. This ensures that your blood clots properly, preventing minor injuries from escalating into serious bleeding concerns. It is particularly beneficial for individuals dealing with conditions that cause insufficient natural platelet production.

How to use REVUGAM 50MG TABLET 7'SArrow

  • REVUGAM 50MG TABLET 7'S is a medication that you take by mouth, and you can only get it with a doctor's prescription. It's really important to follow your doctor's instructions precisely when taking this medicine. Your doctor will carefully determine the right amount (dose) you need and for how long you should take it (duration). This decision is based on your specific health condition and other important factors unique to you. Always take REVUGAM 50MG TABLET 7'S exactly as your doctor has told you. You can take the tablet either with food or without food, depending on what is convenient for you or what your doctor advises. When taking the tablet, make sure you swallow it whole with a glass of water. Do not try to chew, crush, or break the tablet before swallowing, as this might affect how the medicine works in your body. Taking it consistently as directed helps ensure you get the best possible results from your treatment.
