ROMPAG 50MG TABLET 7'S contains Eltrombopag, an active ingredient and belongs to the class of thrombopoietin (TPO) receptor agonists, is used to treat low platelet counts. It addresses conditions like primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), where the immune system mistakenly attacks platelets, and thrombocytopenia associated with hepatitis C (HCV) infection. Platelets are essential blood cells that facilitate clotting and maintain blood vessel integrity. Insufficient platelet levels can lead to excessive bleeding and easy bruising. This medication is also indicated for adults experiencing low blood counts due to severe aplastic anaemia, a condition where the bone marrow fails to produce enough new blood cells.
