It helps relieve burning in the chest or upper abdomen, sour belching, regurgitation of food or acid, nausea, vomiting, and a feeling of heaviness or fullness after meals. It may also be used as part of treatment for peptic ulcers and to prevent acid-related symptoms in people who need to take painkillers that irritate the stomach, as advised by a doctor.

Rabesec DSR contains two active components. Rabeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that blocks the final step of acid production in the stomach, thereby reducing the amount of acid and allowing the food pipe and stomach lining to heal.
