Possible side effects of SWITGLIM M 2/1000MG TABLET may include: * **Common:** Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, metallic taste, hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), headache. * **Uncommon:** Skin rash, itching, dizziness, constipation, upper respiratory tract infection. * **Rare:** Lactic acidosis (Symptoms may include feeling very weak, tired or uncomfortable; unusual muscle pain, trouble breathing, stomach pain with nausea and vomiting, feeling cold, dizziness or lightheadedness, and a slow or irregular heartbeat), abnormal liver function tests, jaundice, anemia. * **Very Rare:** Severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis), decreased vitamin B12 absorption. **Important Note:** This is not an exhaustive list. If you experience any unusual symptoms while taking SWITGLIM M 2/1000MG TABLET, consult your doctor immediately.

Switglim M 2/1000mg Tablet is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus, particularly when diet and exercise alone are not enough to control blood sugar levels.
Switglim M 2/1000mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Glimepiride and Metformin. Glimepiride works by increasing the release of insulin from the pancreas, while Metformin reduces glucose production in the liver and improves insulin sensitivity.
Common side effects of Switglim M 2/1000mg Tablet may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and headache.
Switglim M 2/1000mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease, as Metformin can further impair kidney function. Dosage adjustments may be necessary.
Switglim M 2/1000mg Tablet is not recommended during pregnancy. Insulin is usually preferred to control diabetes during pregnancy.
Switglim M 2/1000mg Tablet is generally advised to be taken with food, particularly with breakfast or the first main meal, to minimize the chance of stomach upset.
The dosage of Switglim M 2/1000mg Tablet is determined by the doctor, depending on individual needs and blood sugar levels.
If you miss a dose of Switglim M 2/1000mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the dose.
Drinking alcohol with Switglim M 2/1000mg Tablet is not recommended, as it can increase the risk of low blood sugar levels and side effects.
Store Switglim M 2/1000mg Tablet at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep it out of reach of children.
Switglim M 2/1000mg Tablet may cause weight gain in some patients, particularly due to the Glimepiride component.
Switglim M 2/1000mg Tablet does not directly increase blood pressure. However, consult your doctor if you have any concerns.
Switglim M 2/1000mg Tablet can interact with certain medications, such as some antifungals, antibiotics, and heart medications. Inform your doctor about all the medications you are taking.
Your doctor will advise whether it is safe to break the Switglim M 2/1000mg Tablet or not. Generally, it should not be broken unless instructed by your doctor.
