Pregnancy
UNSAFEIt is unsafe to use ELIGARD DEPOT 22.5MG INJECTION because it is contraindicated in pregnant women. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to get pregnant before taking this treatment.
ELIGARD DEPOT 22.5MG INJECTION decreases testosterone or estrogen production, depending on the treated condition. This helps to slow the growth of cancer cells, reduce the size of uterine fibroids, and alleviate the symptoms of endometriosis and early onset of puberty.
ELIGARD DEPOT 22.5MG INJECTION should not be used by pregnant and breastfeeding women, people who are allergic to the medication, or people with a history of osteoporosis or bone fractures. It should also be used cautiously in people with a past of depression or mental illness.
If you miss a dose of ELIGARD DEPOT 22.5MG INJECTION, contact your healthcare provider as soon as possible to schedule the missed dose. Do not double up on doses to make up for a missed one.
Weight gain is not a common side effect of ELIGARD DEPOT 22.5MG INJECTION, but it may occur in some people.
ELIGARD DEPOT 22.5MG INJECTION reduces estrogen production and helps relieve endometriosis symptoms by inhibiting tissue growth outside the uterus.
During the treatment of breast cancer, ELIGARD DEPOT 22.5MG INJECTION is recommended with regular checkups in combination with an aromatase inhibitor. Inform your doctor about any other medications you are taking.
Do not receive this injection if you experience any abnormal vaginal bleeding. Consult your doctor immediately if you or your child is suffering from a headache even after treating it with pain killer, vision problems, buzzing, or ringing in the ear. If you have diabetes, ask your doctor to monitor your glucose and blood sugar levels regularly. Before starting, inform your doctor if you are still menstruating.
The active ingredient in ELIGARD DEPOT 22.5MG INJECTION is LEUPROLIDE ACETATE.
ELIGARD DEPOT 22.5MG INJECTION is used to treat hormone-sensitive cancers, such as prostate cancer.
ELIGARD DEPOT 22.5MG INJECTION works by reducing the levels of certain hormones (like testosterone) in the body, which can promote the growth of some types of cancer. Lowering these hormones can slow down the growth of cancer cells.
