Like all medicines, GLYCLAZAR M TABLET 10'S can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. **Common side effects (may affect up to 1 in 10 people):** * Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar): This can cause sweating, paleness, anxiety, rapid heartbeat, headache, blurred vision, dizziness, shakiness, weakness, hunger, confusion, and difficulty concentrating. Severe hypoglycemia can lead to loss of consciousness and seizures. * Gastrointestinal problems: Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain. **Uncommon side effects (may affect up to 1 in 100 people):** * Visual disturbances: Blurred vision may occur due to changes in blood glucose levels, especially at the start of treatment. * Elevated liver enzymes: This may be detected in blood tests. **Rare side effects (may affect up to 1 in 1,000 people):** * Skin reactions: Rash, itching, hives. * Blood disorders: Decrease in blood cells (e.g., platelets, white blood cells), which can cause bleeding, bruising, or increased risk of infection. * Liver problems: Hepatitis (inflammation of the liver), jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes). **Very rare side effects (may affect up to 1 in 10,000 people):** * Severe skin reactions: Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis (These are severe blistering rashes). * Lactic acidosis: A buildup of lactic acid in the blood, which can cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, muscle cramps, and difficulty breathing. This is more common in people with kidney problems. **Other possible side effects (frequency not known):** * Weight gain * Headache * Feeling unwell **It is important to tell your doctor or pharmacist if you experience any side effects, especially if they are severe or persistent.** **Seek immediate medical attention if you experience symptoms of:** * Severe hypoglycemia * Severe allergic reaction (difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat) * Lactic acidosis * Severe skin reactions
