  • JAKURA 5 TABLET 60'S contains the active ingredient Tofacitinib. This medicine is a type of drug known as a disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drug (DMARD). It works by helping to control the overactive immune system, which is often the cause of joint inflammation and damage in certain conditions. JAKURA 5 TABLET 60'S is used to treat conditions in adults where the immune system affects the joints or digestive system. It is prescribed for rheumatoid arthritis (RA), a condition causing pain, swelling, stiffness, and loss of function in the joints, especially when other treatments haven't worked well. It is also used for psoriatic arthritis (PsA), which causes joint pain and swelling along with skin scaling. Additionally, it treats moderate to severe ulcerative colitis (UC), a disease causing inflammation and ulcers in the lining of the large intestine.
  • Besides these main uses, JAKURA 5 TABLET 60'S can also be prescribed for other inflammatory conditions. This includes ankylosing spondylitis (AS), which mainly affects the spine, causing stiffness and pain. It is also used to treat active polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis (pJIA) in children aged 2 years and older, a long-term condition causing pain and swelling in multiple joints.
