  • XELJANZ 5MG TABLET 14'S contains the active ingredient Tofacitinib. It belongs to a group of medicines called Janus kinase inhibitors (JAK inhibitors), which are a type of disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drug (DMARDs) and immunomodulator. These medicines work by changing how your body's defense system (immune system) acts. XELJANZ 5MG TABLET 14'S is used on its own or with other medicines, like methotrexate, to treat adults with moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis. This is a condition where the body mistakenly attacks its own joints, causing pain, swelling, stiffness, and difficulty moving.
  • This medicine is also effective for treating psoriatic arthritis in adults, which causes joint pain and swelling along with scaly patches on the skin. Additionally, XELJANZ 5MG TABLET 14'S is prescribed for adult patients suffering from moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis, an inflammatory bowel disease affecting the large intestine.
