Common side effects of Tekaira CT may include dizziness, headache, fatigue, nausea, and diarrhea. Some patients might experience upper respiratory tract infections, nasal congestion, or sore throat. Muscle spasms, back pain, and increased uric acid levels are also possible. Less common but potentially serious side effects involve allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling), changes in kidney function, and low blood pressure (hypotension). Rarely, angioedema (swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat) can occur, requiring immediate medical attention. Other rare side effects include changes in heart rate or rhythm, elevated liver enzymes, and electrolyte imbalances. This is not an exhaustive list, and it's important to consult a healthcare professional for any unusual or severe symptoms.

Tekaira CT is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It combines two medicines to help lower blood pressure effectively.
Tekaira CT contains telmisartan and chlorthalidone. Telmisartan is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) that relaxes blood vessels. Chlorthalidone is a diuretic that helps the body get rid of excess salt and water, further lowering blood pressure.
Common side effects may include dizziness, lightheadedness, fatigue, nausea, and changes in electrolyte levels. Consult your doctor if these persist or worsen.
Inform your doctor about your kidney condition before taking this medicine. Dose adjustments or monitoring may be required.
Tekaira CT is not recommended during pregnancy as it can harm the developing fetus. Consult your doctor for alternative treatments if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
Alcohol can lower your blood pressure further and increase the risk of side effects like dizziness. It is best to avoid alcohol while taking Tekaira CT.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is close to your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
It may take a few weeks for the full effects of Tekaira CT to be seen. Continue taking the medicine as prescribed by your doctor, even if you feel well.
Do not stop taking Tekaira CT suddenly without consulting your doctor. Abruptly stopping the medicine can cause a sudden increase in blood pressure.
Tekaira CT can interact with other medications, including NSAIDs, lithium, and some diabetes medications. Inform your doctor about all the medicines you are taking.
Take Tekaira CT at the same time each day, preferably in the morning.
Store Tekaira CT at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
Yes, Tekaira CT can potentially cause electrolyte imbalances, especially due to the presence of chlorthalidone. Your doctor will monitor your electrolyte levels during treatment.
Telmisartan and Chlorthalidone combination might be available under different brand names depending on the manufacturer and region. Some examples could be 'Telsartan CT' or 'Telma CT'. Always check with your pharmacist or doctor for the available brands in your area.
Yes, dizziness is a common side effect of Tekaira CT, especially when you first start taking it or if the dose is increased. Get up slowly from sitting or lying down to minimize dizziness.
