Less common but potentially serious side effects include allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling), changes in kidney function, increased potassium levels in the blood (hyperkalemia), and muscle cramps or weakness. In rare cases, it can cause angioedema (swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat) which requires immediate medical attention. Other reported side effects include back pain, insomnia, anxiety, and visual disturbances.
