  • ROMPAG 25MG TABLET 7'S contains Eltrombopag, an active ingredient that falls under the class of thrombopoietin (TPO) receptor agonists, and functions as an anticoagulant. It addresses reduced platelet counts resulting from primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) or hepatitis C (HCV) infection. ITP represents an autoimmune condition where the immune system targets and destroys platelets, which are crucial blood cells for clotting and maintaining blood vessel integrity. Insufficient platelet levels can lead to excessive bleeding and easy bruising. Furthermore, this medication is indicated for adults experiencing low blood counts due to severe aplastic anaemia, a serious condition in which the bone marrow fails to produce an adequate number of new blood cells.
  • It's imperative to avoid this medication if you have a known hypersensitivity or allergic reaction to Eltrombopag or any of its components.
