About TROMBONAT 25 TABLET 7'S

  • TROMBONAT 25 TABLET 7'S contains Eltrombopag, an active ingredient and belongs to the thrombopoietin (TPO) receptor agonist category of drugs, which are anticoagulants. It is primarily used to manage low platelet counts resulting from primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) or hepatitis C (HCV) infection. ITP is an autoimmune condition where the immune system mistakenly attacks and destroys platelets. Platelets are essential blood cells responsible for clotting and maintaining the integrity of blood vessel walls. Insufficient platelet levels can lead to increased bleeding and bruising. Additionally, this medication is prescribed for adults to address low blood counts associated with severe aplastic anemia, a serious condition where the bone marrow fails to produce a sufficient number of new blood cells.
  • This medication is contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity or allergic reactions to Eltrombopag or any of the other components. Allergic reactions can manifest in varying degrees of severity, ranging from mild symptoms like rash and itching to more severe reactions such as swelling, dizziness, or difficulty breathing. It is also not suitable for patients with severe liver impairment or active liver disease due to the potential for hepatotoxicity. Eltrombopag can cause increased liver enzymes and bilirubin levels, indicating liver damage. Caution is advised when administering this drug to individuals with pre-existing severe liver conditions, as it can further compromise liver function. Regular monitoring for cataracts and bleeding in or around the retina (the light-sensitive layer of cells at the back of the eye) may be recommended by your doctor.
  • If you discontinue TROMBONAT 25 TABLET 7'S, your platelet count is likely to decrease again within a few days. Regular monitoring of your platelet count is necessary, and your doctor will discuss appropriate precautions. An excessively high platelet count can increase the risk of blood clotting, although blood clots can also occur with normal or even low platelet counts. Your doctor will adjust the dosage to ensure your platelet count remains within a safe range. Avoid taking this medication with dairy products or drinks, as the calcium content can interfere with its absorption. It is essential to use effective birth control during treatment, and inform your doctor immediately if you become pregnant. TROMBONAT 25 TABLET 7'S is generally not recommended for children under one year of age with ITP and is not advised for patients under 18 with low platelet counts caused by hepatitis C or severe aplastic anemia. Inform your doctor of all medications you are currently taking, have recently taken, or plan to take, including over-the-counter medications and vitamins.

Uses of TROMBONAT 25 TABLET 7'S

  • TROMBONAT 25 TABLET 7'S is used to treat:
  • Low platelet counts are caused by primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) or hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection.
  • Severe aplastic anemia.

Benefits of TROMBONAT 25 TABLET 7'SArrow

  • TROMBONAT 25 TABLET 7'S is designed to stimulate megakaryocytes, which are essential large cells located in the bone marrow. These cells play a crucial role in the production of platelets, the tiny blood cells responsible for blood clotting. By increasing the number of platelets circulating in the bloodstream, this medication effectively reduces the risk of bleeding and bruising, particularly in individuals with thrombocytopenia or other conditions that cause low platelet counts.
  • This medication works by targeting and activating the receptors on megakaryocytes, prompting them to mature and release more platelets into the bloodstream. This can help to improve the ability of the blood to clot properly, preventing excessive bleeding from injuries or other medical procedures.
  • The use of TROMBONAT 25 TABLET 7'S can significantly improve the quality of life for individuals prone to bleeding and bruising. It helps to maintain a healthy platelet count, reducing the likelihood of complications associated with low platelet levels.

  • It is important to swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. If you have difficulty swallowing pills, discuss this with your doctor or pharmacist, as they may have suggestions or alternative formulations available.
  • If you miss a dose of TROMBONAT 25 TABLET 7'S, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.
