• The two ingredients target blood sugar from different angles. Sitagliptin is a DPP-4 inhibitor: it prevents the breakdown of natural gut hormones (incretins like GLP-1 and GIP), which prompt the pancreas to release insulin when blood sugar is high and reduce glucagon — all in a glucose-dependent way.
