This medication is used, either on its own or alongside other medicines, to address non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, a type of cancer affecting B-lymphocytes (white blood cells), and chronic lymphocytic leukemia, a prevalent form of cancer impacting B-cells. Furthermore, it's indicated for treating moderate to severe rheumatoid arthritis (an autoimmune disease where the immune system mistakenly attacks joint tissues) in conjunction with methotrexate in adult patients. Additional applications encompass the treatment of granulomatosis with polyangiitis or microscopic polyangiitis, conditions characterized by blood vessel inflammation primarily affecting the lungs and kidneys, in both adults and children aged 2 years and older. It also serves in the management of moderate to severe pemphigus vulgaris, an autoimmune disorder causing painful blisters on the skin and mucous membranes of the mouth, throat, nose, and genitals.
