It is also indicated, alongside methotrexate, for treating moderate-to-severe rheumatoid arthritis (an autoimmune disease where the immune system attacks the joints). Additionally, it's used in adults and children aged 2 and older for granulomatosis with polyangiitis or microscopic polyangiitis (inflammation of blood vessels affecting the lungs and kidneys). It also addresses moderate to severe pemphigus vulgaris (an autoimmune condition causing painful blisters on the skin and mucous membranes).
