Symptoms include feeling very weak, tired or uncomfortable; unusual muscle pain, trouble breathing, stomach pain with nausea and vomiting, feeling cold, especially in the arms and legs, feeling dizzy or lightheaded, and a slow or irregular heartbeat. * Visual disturbances * Allergic reactions This is not an exhaustive list. Glimp M1 SR Tablet 10'S is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus, especially when diet and exercise are not enough to control blood sugar levels adequately.
Glimp M1 SR Tablet 10'S is a combination of two medicines, Glimepiride and Metformin. Glimepiride works by increasing the release of insulin, while Metformin works by increasing the body's sensitivity to insulin and decreasing glucose production in the liver.
Common side effects of Glimp M1 SR Tablet 10'S include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and headache.
It is recommended to take Glimp M1 SR Tablet 10'S with food to avoid stomach upset.
Glimp M1 SR Tablet 10'S should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease, as it may worsen kidney problems. Dosage adjustment may be required.
If you miss a dose of Glimp M1 SR Tablet 10'S, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the dose.
It is not recommended to consume alcohol with Glimp M1 SR Tablet 10'S, as it may lower blood sugar levels and increase the risk of side effects.
Glimp M1 SR Tablet 10'S is not recommended during pregnancy. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
Store Glimp M1 SR Tablet 10'S at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
Serious side effects of Glimp M1 SR Tablet 10'S include lactic acidosis (buildup of lactic acid in the body), hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), and allergic reactions.
Glimp M1 SR Tablet 10'S can interact with certain medications, such as insulin, other antidiabetic drugs, and some blood pressure medications. Inform your doctor about all your medications.
Alternatives to Glimp M1 SR Tablet 10'S include other antidiabetic medications, such as other sulfonylureas, Metformin alone, DPP-4 inhibitors, SGLT2 inhibitors, or insulin.
While taking Glimp M1 SR Tablet 10'S, you should monitor your blood sugar levels regularly, have regular blood tests to monitor your kidney function, and watch out for symptoms of hypoglycemia.
Symptoms of an overdose of Glimp M1 SR Tablet 10'S may include hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and in severe cases, seizures or loss of consciousness.
Glimp M1 SR Tablet 10'S is generally not recommended for children. Consult a physician for more information on its use in children.
