Ozomet G 1mg Tablet is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet and exercise alone are not enough to control blood sugar levels.
Ozomet G 1mg Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Glimepiride and Metformin. Glimepiride is a sulfonylurea which works by increasing the release of insulin from the pancreas, thereby lowering blood sugar levels. Metformin is a biguanide which works by decreasing glucose production in the liver, decreasing absorption of glucose from the intestines and improving insulin sensitivity.
Common side effects of Ozomet G 1mg Tablet include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and loss of appetite. Inform your doctor if any of these side effects persist or worsen.
Ozomet G 1mg Tablet is not recommended during pregnancy. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
Ozomet G 1mg Tablet is not recommended during breastfeeding. Consult your doctor if you are breastfeeding.
Store Ozomet G 1mg Tablet at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.
It is not recommended to drink alcohol with Ozomet G 1mg Tablet, as it can lower blood sugar levels and cause other side effects.
Ozomet G 1mg Tablet should be used with caution in people with kidney disease. Consult your doctor if you have kidney disease.
Ozomet G 1mg Tablet should be used with caution in people with liver disease. Consult your doctor if you have liver disease.
Symptoms of an overdose of Ozomet G 1mg Tablet may include low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and seizures. Seek immediate medical attention if you suspect you have taken an overdose of Ozomet G 1mg Tablet.
Ozomet G 1mg Tablet can interact with certain other medications, such as insulin, warfarin, and some antibiotics. Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medications.
Some other medications that contain Glimepiride and Metformin include Glimipure M, Metglem, and Zoryl M.
If you miss a dose of Ozomet G 1mg Tablet, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not double the dose.
While taking Ozomet G 1mg Tablet, it is important to maintain a healthy diet, exercise regularly, and monitor your blood sugar levels regularly. Avoid excessive sugary or fatty foods.
Ozomet G 1mg Tablet can cause weight gain in some people. Talk to your doctor if you are concerned about weight gain while taking this medication.
