Like all medicines, TENEPRIDE M 1000mg Tablet can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Many of these side effects are mild and usually improve as your body adjusts to the medicine. The most common side effects are related to the stomach and gut, such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, indigestion, abdominal pain, and a metallic taste in the mouth. Other possible side effects include headache, dizziness, and symptoms of a common cold or sore throat. Low blood sugar (hypoglycemia) can occur, especially if the medicine is used with other diabetes medications. In rare cases, a serious condition called lactic acidosis may occur, which requires immediate medical attention. Long-term use might also lead to Vitamin B12 deficiency. If you experience any severe or persistent side effects, or notice anything unusual, consult your doctor immediately.

Allergies
UnsafeDo not take Tenepride M 1000mg Tablet if you are allergic to Teneligliptin, Metformin, or any other ingredients of the tablet.
Tenepride M 1000mg Tablet is primarily used to treat Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in adults. It helps control high blood sugar levels when diet and exercise alone are not sufficient.
Tenepride M 1000mg Tablet contains two active ingredients: Teneligliptin (usually 20mg) and Metformin Hydrochloride (1000mg).
This medicine works in two ways. Teneligliptin increases the release of insulin from the pancreas and reduces hormones that raise blood sugar. Metformin reduces the production of glucose by the liver, decreases sugar absorption from the intestines, and improves the body's sensitivity to insulin.
Common side effects may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, metallic taste, headache, and sore throat. These usually subside as your body adjusts to the medicine.
Serious but rare side effects include lactic acidosis (a build-up of lactic acid in the blood, more common with Metformin), pancreatitis, and severe allergic reactions. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience severe muscle pain, unusual tiredness, difficulty breathing, or persistent severe abdominal pain.
Take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor. It is usually taken with meals to minimize stomach upset. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water; do not crush, chew, or break it.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for your next dose. In that case, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one.
It is generally advised to avoid or limit alcohol consumption while taking Tenepride M, especially due to the Metformin component. Alcohol can increase the risk of lactic acidosis and can also affect blood sugar levels.
This medicine should be avoided by individuals with severe kidney disease, liver disease, severe heart failure, acute myocardial infarction, or certain metabolic acidosis conditions. Inform your doctor about your medical history before starting this medication.
Tenepride M 1000mg Tablet is generally not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. It is crucial to consult your doctor to discuss alternative treatments or the potential risks and benefits.
Store Tenepride M 1000mg Tablet at room temperature, away from moisture and direct light. Keep it out of reach of children and pets. Do not store in the bathroom.
In case of an overdose, seek immediate medical attention or contact a poison control center. Overdose symptoms may include severe hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), lactic acidosis, or severe gastrointestinal issues.
Metformin, one of the components of Tenepride M, is often associated with stable weight or modest weight loss, unlike some other diabetes medications that can cause weight gain. Teneligliptin is generally weight-neutral.
Yes, Tenepride M can be prescribed with other antidiabetic medications, including insulin, if your doctor deems it necessary for better blood sugar control. However, combinations, especially with sulfonylureas or insulin, might increase the risk of hypoglycemia. Always inform your doctor about all medications you are taking.
Tenepride M contains the same active ingredients (Teneligliptin and Metformin) as other branded or generic combinations of these two drugs (e.g., Zita Met, Teneligliptin M, Tenelin M). While the active ingredients are the same, inactive ingredients and manufacturing processes may differ slightly. Always consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have concerns about switching brands.
To maximize the effectiveness of Tenepride M, it is crucial to combine it with a healthy diet (low in sugar and refined carbs), regular physical activity, and maintaining a healthy weight. Regular monitoring of blood sugar levels is also essential.
Metformin, one of the components, is excreted by the kidneys, and its use is contraindicated in severe kidney impairment. Teneligliptin is also metabolized by the liver. Patients with pre-existing kidney or liver conditions should use this medicine with caution, and their doctor may adjust the dosage or recommend alternative treatments. Regular monitoring of kidney and liver function tests may be required.
It is very quickly & Fast process . Nice guidance
