While TENLIMAC M 1000mg Tablet is effective in managing blood sugar, some individuals may experience side effects. Common side effects often include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, and a metallic taste in the mouth. You might also experience headaches, a sore throat, or a runny nose. Less common but more serious side effects can include severe muscle pain, difficulty breathing, stomach discomfort, dizziness, or feeling unusually cold, which could indicate a rare but serious condition called lactic acidosis – seek immediate medical attention if these occur. Long-term use may also lead to Vitamin B12 deficiency. Always consult your doctor if any side effect bothers you or persists.

Allergies
UnsafeDo not take TENLIMAC M 1000MG TABLET 10'S if you are allergic to Teneligliptin, Metformin, or any other ingredients.
TENLIMAC M 1000MG TABLET is primarily used to control high blood sugar levels in adults with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. It is typically prescribed when diet and exercise alone, or Metformin alone, are not enough to manage blood sugar.
The active ingredients in TENLIMAC M 1000MG TABLET are Teneligliptin (usually 20mg) and Metformin Hydrochloride (1000mg).
It works by combining two medications: Teneligliptin helps the body produce more insulin when blood sugar is high and reduces the amount of sugar made by the liver. Metformin works by reducing glucose production in the liver, decreasing glucose absorption from the intestines, and improving insulin sensitivity.
Common side effects may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, loss of appetite, metallic taste in the mouth, and headache. These are usually mild and temporary.
Although rare, serious side effects can include lactic acidosis (a build-up of lactic acid in the blood, more common with Metformin), severe allergic reactions, and pancreatitis. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience symptoms like severe muscle pain, unusual tiredness, difficulty breathing, or severe abdominal pain.
Always take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor. It is usually taken once daily with a meal to reduce stomach upset. Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet; swallow it whole with water.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for your next dose. In that case, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten one.
It is generally advisable to limit or avoid alcohol consumption while taking TENLIMAC M 1000MG TABLET, especially due to the Metformin component. Alcohol can increase the risk of lactic acidosis and may also cause low blood sugar.
In case of an overdose, seek immediate medical attention or contact your local poison control center. Symptoms of overdose may include severe gastrointestinal upset, severe hypoglycemia, or symptoms of lactic acidosis.
While Metformin itself rarely causes hypoglycemia, the Teneligliptin component, especially when combined with other diabetes medications like insulin or sulfonylureas, can increase the risk. It's important to monitor your blood sugar levels regularly.
Store TENLIMAC M 1000MG TABLET at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Keep it in its original packaging and out of reach of children and pets.
This medication should be used with caution in patients with kidney impairment, and its use is generally not recommended in severe kidney disease due to the Metformin component's risk of lactic acidosis. For liver problems, discuss with your doctor as dose adjustments or alternative treatments might be needed.
TENLIMAC M 1000MG TABLET is generally not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. It's crucial to consult your doctor, as they will weigh the benefits and risks and may suggest alternative treatments for managing diabetes during these periods.
TENLIMAC M 1000MG TABLET contains Teneligliptin and Metformin. While other brands like Zita-Met (Sitagliptin + Metformin) or Glyxambi (Empagliflozin + Linagliptin) are also used for diabetes, they contain different active ingredients and thus work differently. Always check the active ingredients and consult your doctor before switching medications.
TENLIMAC M 1000MG TABLET is typically prescribed for long-term management of Type 2 Diabetes. Do not stop taking it without consulting your doctor, even if your blood sugar levels appear to be well-controlled. Your doctor will determine the duration of treatment based on your condition and response.
For optimal results, it is crucial to combine TENLIMAC M 1000MG TABLET with a healthy lifestyle, including a balanced diet, regular physical activity, maintaining a healthy weight, and avoiding smoking. These changes significantly contribute to better blood sugar control.
Yes, your doctor will likely recommend regular blood tests, including blood sugar levels (HbA1c), kidney function tests (creatinine), and liver function tests, to monitor your response to the medication and check for any potential side effects.
