About RITUXIREL 100MG INJECTION

RITUXIREL 100MG INJECTION contains the active ingredient rituximab. It is a medicine used to treat several serious health problems in adults. It is used for certain types of cancer affecting white blood cells: Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (a cancer of immune cells called B-lymphocytes) and Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL - another common type of B-cell cancer). Sometimes it's used alone, sometimes with other cancer medicines.
RITUXIREL 100MG INJECTION also treats severe rheumatoid arthritis (RA), a condition where the body's immune system attacks its own joints. For RA, it's used together with methotrexate. Additionally, it treats certain conditions causing blood vessel inflammation, like granulomatosis with polyangiitis or microscopic polyangiitis, which often affect the lungs and kidneys. It can be used for adults and children aged 2 and older with these conditions. Finally, it helps treat severe pemphigus vulgaris, an autoimmune skin condition causing painful blisters on the skin and mouth.
RITUXIREL 100MG INJECTION belongs to a group of medicines called monoclonal antibodies. These are specially made proteins that target specific cells in the body. This medicine works by targeting and attaching to a protein called CD20, which is found on the surface of certain immune cells (B-cells). By attaching to CD20, it helps the body destroy these B-cells, which can be helpful in treating the conditions mentioned above.
However, RITUXIREL 100MG INJECTION is not suitable for everyone. Do not use this injection if you are allergic to rituximab or any other ingredients in the medicine. It should also not be used if you have a severely weakened immune system or currently have a severe active infection.
Before starting treatment with RITUXIREL 100MG INJECTION, it is very important to tell your doctor about your medical history.
