TENEBLU M TABLET, containing Teneligliptin and Metformin, can have various side effects. Common side effects often include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, loss of appetite, and a metallic taste in the mouth. Other possible side effects are headache, sore throat (nasopharyngitis), constipation, skin rash, or allergic reactions. It's important to be aware of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), especially if used with other diabetes medications like insulin or sulfonylureas. Symptoms of low blood sugar include sweating, shakiness, dizziness, confusion, or blurred vision. Long-term use of Metformin may lead to Vitamin B12 deficiency. A rare but serious side effect is lactic acidosis, which requires immediate medical attention. Signs of lactic acidosis include severe muscle pain or cramps, unusual tiredness, difficulty breathing, feeling cold, dizziness, or a slow/irregular heartbeat. If you experience any severe or persistent side effects, contact your doctor immediately.

Allergies
UnsafeDo not take TENEBLU M TABLET if you are allergic to Teneligliptin or Metformin or any other ingredients of this medicine.
Teneblu M Tablet 15's is primarily used to control high blood sugar levels in adults with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. It is typically prescribed when diet and exercise alone are not sufficient.
Teneblu M Tablet 15's contains two active ingredients: Teneligliptin and Metformin.
Teneligliptin works by increasing the levels of natural substances called 'incretins' which help the body produce more insulin when blood sugar is high and reduce the amount of sugar made by the liver. Metformin works by reducing glucose production in the liver, decreasing glucose absorption from the intestines, and improving insulin sensitivity.
Common side effects may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach upset, metallic taste in mouth, headache, and dizziness. These are usually mild and temporary.
Serious but rare side effects include lactic acidosis (a serious build-up of lactic acid in the blood, primarily due to Metformin), pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas), and severe allergic reactions. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience severe abdominal pain, persistent vomiting, or symptoms of lactic acidosis like unusual muscle pain, trouble breathing, or unusual tiredness.
Take Teneblu M Tablet 15's exactly as prescribed by your doctor. It is usually taken with meals to reduce stomach upset. Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet; swallow it whole.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for your next dose. In that case, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.
It is generally advised to limit or avoid alcohol consumption while taking Teneblu M Tablet, as alcohol can increase the risk of lactic acidosis, especially when combined with Metformin.
Store Teneblu M Tablet 15's at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Keep it out of reach of children and pets. Do not store in the bathroom.
Teneblu M Tablet is generally not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless specifically advised by a doctor after weighing the potential benefits and risks. Always consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive, or breastfeeding.
In case of an overdose, seek immediate medical attention or contact a poison control center. Overdose symptoms may include severe nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, or signs of lactic acidosis.
Yes, Metformin, one of the ingredients, is primarily excreted by the kidneys. Therefore, Teneblu M Tablet should be used with caution or avoided in patients with severe kidney impairment. It can also rarely affect liver function, so regular monitoring may be required if you have pre-existing liver issues.
Yes, medicines containing Teneligliptin and Metformin are available under various brand names from different manufacturers, such as Zita-Met, Tenalifa M, Glypten-M, etc. However, it's crucial to consult your doctor before switching brands or medications.
Metformin, one of the active ingredients, is often associated with modest weight loss or weight neutrality. Teneligliptin is generally considered weight-neutral. However, individual responses can vary.
Teneblu M Tablet is typically prescribed for long-term management of Type 2 Diabetes. Do not stop taking the medication without consulting your doctor, even if your blood sugar levels improve, as stopping it abruptly can lead to a rise in blood sugar.
Yes, Teneblu M Tablet can interact with certain medications. Inform your doctor about all prescription, over-the-counter, and herbal supplements you are taking. Particularly, caution is advised with cimetidine, corticosteroids, diuretics, and certain blood pressure medications.
