Allergies
UnsafeTGLIP M 500MG TABLET 20'S is unsafe if you have a known allergy to Teneligliptin, Metformin, or any other ingredients.
TGLIP M 500MG Tablet is primarily used to treat Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in adults. It helps to lower high blood sugar levels when diet and exercise alone are not enough.
This tablet contains Teneligliptin and Metformin. Teneligliptin increases the release of insulin from the pancreas and reduces hormones that raise blood sugar. Metformin reduces glucose production in the liver and improves the body's sensitivity to insulin, allowing cells to absorb more sugar.
The active ingredients are Teneligliptin (typically 20mg) and Metformin Hydrochloride (500mg).
Take TGLIP M 500MG Tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once or twice daily with meals to reduce stomach upset. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water; do not crush, chew, or break it.
Common side effects may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, headache, and a metallic taste in the mouth (due to Metformin). These usually subside as your body adjusts to the medicine.
Although rare, serious side effects can occur. The most serious is Lactic Acidosis (due to Metformin), symptoms of which include unusual muscle pain, trouble breathing, stomach pain, dizziness, fatigue, and slowed heartbeat. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience these.
This tablet is generally not recommended for individuals with severe kidney disease, severe liver disease, uncontrolled heart failure, Type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, or a history of severe allergic reactions to its ingredients.
It is strongly advised to avoid or limit alcohol consumption while taking TGLIP M 500MG Tablet, as it can increase the risk of lactic acidosis and may also cause low blood sugar (hypoglycemia).
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it's almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not double the dose to make up for a missed one.
TGLIP M 500MG Tablet is generally not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Always consult your doctor for personalized advice if you are pregnant, planning to conceive, or breastfeeding.
Metformin, one of the components, is often associated with modest weight loss or weight stability. Teneligliptin is generally considered weight-neutral. So, TGLIP M is unlikely to cause significant weight gain and may even help with slight weight reduction for some.
Store TGLIP M 500MG Tablet at room temperature (below 30°C), away from moisture and direct light. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.
No, TGLIP M 500MG Tablet should be swallowed whole. Crushing, chewing, or splitting the tablet may alter its release mechanism and effectiveness, potentially leading to incorrect dosing or side effects.
While blood sugar levels may begin to improve within a few days to weeks, the full therapeutic effect of TGLIP M 500MG Tablet, especially when combined with diet and exercise, typically takes several weeks to become evident.
Yes, the combination of Teneligliptin and Metformin is available under various brand names from different manufacturers (e.g., Zita-Met, Glycomet-T, Tenefit-M). While the active ingredients are the same, always consult your doctor or pharmacist before switching brands.
