Most side effects are mild and temporary. **Common Side Effects:** * Nausea * Vomiting * Diarrhea * Abdominal pain or discomfort * Loss of appetite * Metallic taste in the mouth * Headache * Sore throat or common cold symptoms (nasopharyngitis) **Less Common or Serious Side Effects (Consult your doctor immediately if you experience these):** * **Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar):** Especially if taken with other diabetes medications or if you skip meals. Symptoms include dizziness, sweating, confusion, blurred vision, or shakiness. * **Lactic Acidosis (rare but serious):** This is a rare side effect mainly associated with Metformin. Symptoms include unusual muscle pain, difficulty breathing, stomach pain, dizziness, and feeling cold. Seek urgent medical attention. * **Vitamin B12 Deficiency:** Long-term use of Metformin can lead to reduced Vitamin B12 levels. * Skin rash or itching * Allergic reactions (rare): Swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat; difficulty breathing. * Pancreatitis (very rare, inflammation of the pancreas): Severe stomach pain that may spread to your back, with or without vomiting. It's important to discuss any concerns or persistent side effects with your doctor. This is not a complete list of all possible side effects. Always read the patient information leaflet.

Allergies
UnsafeDo not take TENGINOW M TABLET 15'S if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. Seek immediate medical attention if allergic reactions occur.
TENGINOW M TABLET is primarily used to treat Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in adults. It helps to lower high blood sugar levels when diet and exercise alone are not enough.
TENGINOW M TABLET typically contains two active ingredients: Teneligliptin and Metformin Hydrochloride.
Teneligliptin works by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas and decreasing the amount of sugar produced by the liver. Metformin reduces glucose production in the liver, decreases glucose absorption from the intestines, and improves insulin sensitivity. Together, they effectively lower blood sugar levels.
The dosage of TENGINOW M TABLET is determined by your doctor based on your blood sugar levels, response to treatment, and other medical conditions. Always follow your doctor's instructions. Do not change the dose or stop the medication without consulting your doctor.
TENGINOW M TABLET is usually taken with meals, often with your breakfast and/or dinner, to reduce stomach upset and improve absorption, especially for the Metformin component. Your doctor will advise the best timing for you.
Common side effects may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, loss of appetite, metallic taste, and headache. These side effects are usually mild and temporary. If they persist or worsen, consult your doctor.
While Teneligliptin itself has a low risk of causing hypoglycemia, when combined with Metformin, the risk is generally low. However, if taken with other anti-diabetic medications (like insulin or sulfonylureas), the risk of low blood sugar can increase. Monitor your blood sugar regularly and be aware of symptoms of hypoglycemia.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it's almost time for your next scheduled dose. In that case, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.
It's generally advised to avoid excessive alcohol consumption as it can increase the risk of lactic acidosis (a rare but serious side effect of Metformin) and also affect blood sugar control. Otherwise, no specific food restrictions beyond a healthy diabetic diet.
TENGINOW M TABLET is generally not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. It is crucial to inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive, or breastfeeding, as alternative treatments may be advised.
Inform your doctor about any pre-existing medical conditions, especially kidney or liver problems, heart disease, or pancreatic issues. Regular monitoring of blood sugar and kidney function is advised. Avoid excessive alcohol consumption.
It's important to inform your doctor about all other medications, supplements, and herbal products you are taking, as some can interact with TENGINOW M TABLET, potentially affecting its efficacy or increasing side effects.
Store TENGINOW M TABLET at room temperature, away from moisture and direct heat. Keep it out of reach of children and pets. Do not use expired medication.
In case of a suspected overdose, seek immediate medical attention or contact your local poison control center. Symptoms of overdose may include severe nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, or symptoms of lactic acidosis.
No, TENGINOW M TABLET is not a cure for Type 2 Diabetes. It helps manage blood sugar levels and control the condition, but it does not eliminate the disease. Lifelong management, including diet, exercise, and medication, is usually required.
No, you should never stop taking TENGINOW M TABLET without consulting your doctor, even if your blood sugar levels appear to be normal. Stopping the medication abruptly can lead to a rise in blood sugar levels and potential complications.
Yes, the combination of Teneligliptin and Metformin is available under various brand names from different manufacturers. While the active ingredients are the same, the inactive ingredients and specific formulations might vary. Your doctor can advise if other brands are suitable for you.
