GLIMIWIN M2 TABLET 10'S is a combination of two medicines: Glimepiride and Metformin. It is used to lower high blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
GLIMIWIN M2 TABLET 10'S is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet and exercise alone are not enough to control blood sugar levels.
GLIMIWIN M2 TABLET 10'S works in two ways: Glimepiride works by increasing the amount of insulin released from the pancreas, and Metformin works by decreasing the amount of glucose produced by the liver and by improving the body's sensitivity to insulin.
The common side effects of GLIMIWIN M2 TABLET 10'S include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, and headache.
Take GLIMIWIN M2 TABLET 10'S exactly as prescribed by your doctor. It is usually taken once daily with food.
The safety of GLIMIWIN M2 TABLET 10'S during pregnancy has not been established. Talk to your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
It is not known whether GLIMIWIN M2 TABLET 10'S passes into breast milk. Talk to your doctor before breastfeeding.
If you miss a dose of GLIMIWIN M2 TABLET 10'S, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose.
GLIMIWIN M2 TABLET 10'S can interact with many other medications. Tell your doctor about all the medications you are taking, including over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements.
Store GLIMIWIN M2 TABLET 10'S at room temperature, away from heat and moisture. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
GLIMIWIN M2 TABLET 10'S may cause weight gain in some people. Talk to your doctor if you are concerned about weight gain while taking this medication.
GLIMIWIN M2 TABLET 10'S can cause low blood sugar, especially if taken with other diabetes medications. Symptoms of hypoglycemia include sweating, trembling, dizziness, hunger, blurred vision, and confusion.
Avoid drinking alcohol while taking GLIMIWIN M2 TABLET 10'S, as it can increase the risk of low blood sugar.
Talk to your doctor before taking other diabetes medications with GLIMIWIN M2 TABLET 10'S. Some medications can lower your blood sugar too much when taken together.
Symptoms of an overdose of GLIMIWIN M2 TABLET 10'S may include low blood sugar, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and seizures. Seek immediate medical attention if you suspect you have taken too much of this medication.
