Less common but potentially serious side effects can include allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling), liver problems (jaundice, dark urine), blood disorders (anemia, low white blood cell count, low platelet count), and lactic acidosis (muscle pain, difficulty breathing, stomach pain). Other possible side effects include dizziness, weakness, and visual disturbances. Consult your doctor immediately if you experience any severe or persistent side effects.

Glimefine M2 Tablet 15'S is a combination of two medicines: Glimepiride and Metformin. It is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus when diet and exercise alone are not enough to control blood sugar levels.
Glimefine M2 Tablet 15'S is used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus. It helps lower blood sugar levels.
Common side effects of Glimefine M2 Tablet 15'S include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and headache.
Store Glimefine M2 Tablet 15'S at room temperature, away from heat and moisture. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.
Glimefine M2 Tablet 15'S is generally recommended to be taken with food. This reduces the likelihood of stomach upset and helps improve the absorption of the medication.
If you miss a dose of Glimefine M2 Tablet 15'S, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose.
Glimefine M2 Tablet 15'S can cause weight gain in some people. Talk to your doctor if you are concerned about this.
The safety of Glimefine M2 Tablet 15'S during pregnancy has not been established. It should only be used during pregnancy if clearly needed and under the supervision of a doctor.
It is not known whether Glimefine M2 Tablet 15'S is excreted in breast milk. Consult your doctor before using it during breastfeeding.
You should avoid certain medications while taking Glimefine M2 Tablet 15'S, such as certain antifungal medications (e.g., ketoconazole), some antibiotics (e.g., clarithromycin), and some heart medications (e.g., digoxin). Tell your doctor about all the medications you are taking.
Some other brands of Metformin include Glucophage, Fortamet, and Riomet.
Some other brands of Glimepiride include Amaryl and Diapiride.
Symptoms of an overdose of Glimefine M2 Tablet 15'S include low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, and weakness.
Glimefine M2 Tablet 15'S should be used with caution in people with kidney disease. Talk to your doctor if you have kidney disease.
Glimefine M2 Tablet 15'S lowers blood sugar in two ways: Glimepiride increases insulin secretion, and Metformin increases insulin sensitivity and reduces glucose production in the liver.
