Like all medicines, TENELISTATUS M 500MG TABLET 10'S can cause side effects, though not everyone gets them. **Common Side Effects:** You might experience digestive issues like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach upset, or a metallic taste in your mouth. Some people may also have headaches, constipation, or symptoms similar to a common cold (like a stuffy nose or sore throat). These usually improve as your body adjusts to the medicine. **Less Common or Serious Side Effects (Seek Medical Attention):** * **Low Blood Sugar (Hypoglycemia):** Especially if you are also taking other diabetes medicines. Symptoms include sweating, dizziness, trembling, hunger, and confusion. * **Pancreatitis (Inflammation of the Pancreas):** A very rare but serious side effect. Look out for severe, persistent stomach pain that may spread to your back. * **Allergic Reactions:** Signs include rash, itching, swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat, and difficulty breathing. * **Lactic Acidosis:** This is a very rare but life-threatening condition. Symptoms include unusual muscle pain, unexplained weight loss, trouble breathing, unusual stomach discomfort, dizziness, or a slow or irregular heartbeat. It's crucial to get immediate medical help if you suspect this. * **Vitamin B12 Deficiency:** Long-term use of metformin can sometimes lead to a deficiency, which may cause tiredness or nerve problems. Always consult your doctor if any side effect bothers you or does not go away, or if you experience any serious symptoms.

Allergies
UnsafeDo not take Tenelistatus M if you are allergic to Teneligliptin, Metformin, or any other ingredients of the tablet.
It is primarily used to treat Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in adults. It helps control high blood sugar levels when diet and exercise alone, or Metformin alone, are not sufficient.
The active ingredients are Teneligliptin (20mg) and Metformin Hydrochloride (500mg).
Teneligliptin helps the body produce more insulin when blood sugar is high and reduces sugar production by the liver. Metformin decreases glucose production in the liver and improves the body's sensitivity to insulin. Together, they effectively lower blood sugar levels.
The typical dosage is one tablet once or twice daily, as prescribed by your doctor. It should be taken with meals to minimize gastrointestinal side effects. Always follow your doctor's instructions.
Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, loss of appetite, metallic taste in the mouth, and headache. These often lessen over time.
Serious but rare side effects can include lactic acidosis (a life-threatening build-up of lactic acid, especially in patients with kidney problems), pancreatitis, and severe allergic reactions. Seek immediate medical attention if you experience symptoms like severe abdominal pain, persistent vomiting, or difficulty breathing.
While Metformin generally doesn't cause hypoglycemia on its own, when combined with Teneligliptin or other anti-diabetic medications (like insulin or sulfonylureas), the risk of low blood sugar increases. Be aware of symptoms such as sweating, shakiness, dizziness, and confusion.
This medication is generally not recommended for individuals with Type 1 Diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, severe kidney or liver impairment, severe heart failure, or a history of lactic acidosis. It should also be avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding unless specifically advised by a doctor.
This medication works best when combined with a healthy diet, regular physical activity, and weight management as advised by your doctor or a dietician. Alcohol consumption should be limited or avoided as it can increase the risk of lactic acidosis.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it is almost time for your next scheduled dose. In that case, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.
Store the tablets at room temperature, ideally below 30°C (86°F), away from moisture and direct light. Keep them out of reach of children and pets.
Yes, TENELISTATUS M 500MG TABLET is a prescription-only medicine and should only be taken under the guidance and supervision of a qualified medical professional.
Type 2 Diabetes is a chronic condition, and this medication is usually prescribed for long-term management. Do not stop taking it without consulting your doctor, even if your blood sugar levels appear to be well-controlled.
Yes, several other pharmaceutical companies manufacture medications with the same active ingredients (Teneligliptin and Metformin). These may include brands like Zita Met, Tenapan M, Teneflo M, Tenelia M, and others, though strengths might vary. Always consult your doctor or pharmacist about equivalent alternatives.
In case of an overdose, you may experience severe symptoms like extreme hypoglycemia (severe dizziness, confusion, rapid heart rate) or lactic acidosis (severe muscle pain, weakness, profound fatigue, difficulty breathing, severe stomach pain). Seek immediate emergency medical attention or go to the nearest hospital.
